DRSKIN layer

Fleece-lined here means a knit brushed on the inside so it holds a layer of still air against the skin; the outside face is the same smooth polyester as the rest of the range, so a trouser or a jacket still slides over it. That is the whole of the claim. Nothing on this shelf is rated for a temperature, because a garment cannot be: the federal guidance on working in the cold asks for several layers of loose clothing rather than one warm one, and warns in the same document that clothing which restricts movement carries its own risk. A base layer is the first of those layers and not a substitute for the rest. Sizes run S to 3XL, packs of two and three, and the turtleneck is the one to read twice if you dislike a collar.

Questions about DRSKIN thermal base layers

Why nothing here carries a temperature, when a brushed layer is too warm, and whether it will fit under a work shirt.

How cold can you wear DRSKIN thermal layers in?

We will not give you a temperature and no honest maker can. What the garment does is describable: a brushed inside face holding still air against the skin, under whatever else you put on. The federal guidance on cold work asks for several loose layers rather than one warm one, so treat this as the first of them.

Are DRSKIN fleece-lined tights too warm for a mild day?

For most people, yes. The brushed face holds heat whether you want it that day or not, so above roughly the temperature where you would reach for a jacket, the ordinary compression tights are the better pair. Owning one of each and changing over when the mornings do is what most people here end up doing.

Will a DRSKIN thermal layer fit under your normal clothes?

That is what the smooth outer face is for: it lets a trouser or a jacket slide over instead of catching, and it is cut close enough not to bunch at the knee. The turtleneck top is the one people wear under a work shirt, and it will be warm indoors, which is worth knowing before a day that is half outside.
