Editorial Standards
These are the standards drskin-us.com is written to. They exist so that a sentence on this site can be held against something.
Where the figures come from
Fibre content, pack counts, size runs, colourways, inseams and prices come from our own product data, and a page prints them out of that data rather than out of a paragraph somebody typed. Where a piece gives no inseam or no fibre content, the line is left blank rather than guessed. A measurement we do not have is not invented.
What the word compression may claim here
It describes a fit: a knit cut smaller than the body it goes on, so that it holds rather than hangs. That is a fact about a garment and we will print it. It is not a claim about blood, recovery, soreness or performance, and no page on this site turns it into one, however many of those sentences are available to copy.
Claims about sun, cold, fabric and safety
Anything here that touches sun protection, cold-weather clothing, fibre labelling or care instructions is written under a named public source, listed on the page that makes the claim, with the date it was read. A UPF number is printed only where the product data carries it, and it is never extended to skin the fabric does not cover. A fabric is called certified, tested or graded only where the label sewn into the garment says so, and that label is the document that governs washing.
Photographs
Every piece is shown in the colourway being sold. A photograph with a size chart, a slogan or a performance claim printed into the image is kept off the page, and a picture that contradicts the text beside it comes off rather than getting a caption to explain it away.
Comments from buyers
Quotes on the front page are real, public and attributed to a verified buyer rather than to a name and a town. They are shortened for length and never reworded; a complaint stays a complaint. A quote that makes a claim we would not make ourselves is not used, however good it sounds.
What gets pulled
A piece that sells out leaves the site at the next build. A figure that turns out to be wrong is corrected on the page and the correction is noted on how we update the catalogue. Write to warmup@drskin-us.com with the page and the figure.
