The hooded tank is the odd one and the one people buy first: a cut-off with a hood, worn loose over a shirt while you warm up and pulled off when the work starts. Nothing about it is compressive. The Y-back muscle tank is the opposite: cut away across the shoulder blade so the strap sits inboard and stays there when the arm goes overhead, in a mesh knit that moves air across the back. The sleeveless base layer is the compression shirt with the sleeves gone, and it goes under a jersey rather than over anything.

This is the shelf where buying a pack makes the most sense, and the reason is laundry rather than price. A tank is the layer that gets soaked first and it comes off the body wet every session, so one tank means washing after every use and two means the same thing with an extra day. The packs here run to four and work out between five and eight dollars a tank. Sizes go S to 2XL across the shelf. The care label sewn into the garment is the document that governs washing, and on a mesh knit it is worth reading before the first hot cycle.

Questions about DRSKIN Tank Tops

Three tanks that are not versions of each other

Which DRSKIN tank do you wear over a shirt and which goes under one?

The hooded cut-off goes over: it is loose, it has a hood, and it is a warm-up layer you take off. The sleeveless base layer goes under, against the skin, because that is the only place a compression knit does anything. The Y-back muscle tank sits between the two — it is cut for training in on its own, and people wear it either way.

Does the mesh on a DRSKIN muscle tank make it see-through?

The mesh is a knit structure rather than an open net: it moves air and it is more open than the compression knit, but it is not sheer at any size in the run. If you want the most solid of the three, the sleeveless base layer is knitted tightest, and the hooded cut-off is the loosest cloth on the shelf.

How many DRSKIN tanks does a training week need?

As many as sessions between washes, plus one. That is the whole calculation, and it is why the packs exist: a tank comes off wet, and a wet tank in a bag is not going back on tomorrow. Three is the number most people land on for a three-session week.
